　　When considering the coverage of pipe outer diameter, the groove surface diameter of high pressure weld outlet should be considered. The diameter of main pipe is not considered in welder qualification. When there is a transition bevel, the groove surface diameter refers to the actual diameter measured from the groove surface, which is generally less than the outer diameter of the high pressure weld outlet, while the pipe platform welding is a combination of butt weld and fillet weld with groove in branch pipe. Therefore, the welder with 6G pipe certificate can be covered.
