Technical requirements for elbows

Elbow is a common connecting pipe fitting in pipeline installation. It connects two pipes with the same or different nominal diameter to make the pipeline turn at a certain angle. Elbows are widely used in pipeline construction and have irreplaceable functions, but what are the technical requirements of elbows?

First of all, because most of the pipe fittings are connected by welding, in order to improve the welding quality, the ends are beveled, with a certain angle, with a certain edge. The requirements of welding technology are relatively strict. The thickness of the edge, the angle and the deviation range are all specified. For the convenience of welding, the general pipe fittings and the connected pipes need the same steel type.

Secondly, all pipe fittings need to go through surface treatment, and the iron oxide on the internal and external surfaces needs to be removed through special treatment, and then coated with anti-corrosion coating, which is to facilitate transportation and prevent corrosion and oxidation. Not only that, but also the export needs to do this work.

Finally, elbows also have certain requirements for packaging. For small pipe fittings such as elbows, if they are exported, they need about 1 cubic meter of wooden boxes, and it is stipulated that the number of elbows in such boxes should not exceed one ton. However, under this standard, suits are allowed, that is, large sets are small, but the total weight should not exceed one ton. For large pipe fittings, a single package is required. In addition, it is Packaging mark, marking is to indicate the size, steel grade, batch number, manufacturer's trademark, etc.
